Success of Italian food and wine producers at Real Italian Wine & Food, in London, on Thursday 20th April

The annual edition of the Real Italian Wine & Food (RIWF) took place at the Royal Horticultural Halls, Victoria, in the heart of London, last Thursday.

Some 80 wine and food producers from various Italian regions, such as Calabria, Umbria, Lombardy, Piedmont, Marche, Sicily, Campania and Tuscany showcased their wines and produce presenting a wide selection.

Once again, this year over 200 trade visitors attended the event, including distributors, agents, importers, buyers from small and medium-sized restaurant chains, delicatessens, wine bars, department stores, including Selfridges, and also trade journalists. We are satisfied with an edition of the Real Italian Wine & Food which was again able to gather in one place some of the finest Italian food and a great choice of wines from all over. We look forward to a 2 day event next year which aims to offer an even more diverse choice of produce and wine. The UK market is certainly a competitive one. Yet the interest of British consumers for Italy is growing more and more. That offers lots of opportunities to Italian wine and food producers, both already imported or wanting to enter the UK market.
